Indoor Water Fountains

Gardener's Garden Supplies

Indoor water fountains are one of the most soothing decorations for your home and in an office environment. In the office they are not only calming but it takes away a lot of the stress of an office. Some indoor water fountains can also be installed outdoors on your garden patio.

Some people find it a little worrisome to think that there is water running in their living rooms. The truth is they are completely safe and will create a soothing feeling to everyone in the room. You can place an indoor water fountain just about anywhere in a room; on a table top, free standing on the floor, or on a wall.

Indoor water fountains have usually been placed in hotel lobbies, high end spa salons, and some building lobbies. The indoor fountains we see today are smaller sizes of the ones we see in these public places. They are small enough to place in our homes and smaller office spaces. Imagine how an indoor water fountain can set the mood for an office worker or a homeowner coming home from a stressful day on the job. They have become much more affordable for the homeowner to purchase and enjoy.

The water fountain can fit in with any furniture style and decoration you have in your home. The designs are numerous but they come in only three basic models - the table top model, the floor model, and the wall model. All these fountains are constructed with a reservoir that contains the water in the base of the fountain; a fountain head, where the water starts to cascade down; and the pump which constantly sends the water from inside the reservoir below to the fountain head above. These features will probably never change.

The table top indoor water fountain is usually small in stature and will fit easily on a desk or an end table. The surface area of these fountains is generally the size of a dinner place and the height can vary. These fountains will work wonders in a small room but are typically too small for a large room.

The floor water fountain is basically the same idea as the table top except, of course, it is larger. They are characteristically more vertical than they are horizontal and can be a more costly water feature than the average homeowner wants to spend. They can be the main focal point of a large room or welcoming site in a large entry or foyer. There is also available a smaller version of a floor water fountain that can be placed up against a wall but not attached to it; this fountain would be ideal for a smaller entry or room.

The wall water fountain can add a touch of class because they are generally the main focal point of a room. You do not need a large room for an indoor wall water fountain; they do not take up much room except for wall space.

Because a water fountain can trigger something in all five of our senses, they are an ideal home decoration. We have the visual sight of a beautiful fountain, the hearing or sound of water trickling, the smell of fresh air brought on by the water, and the touching of water. If you put all four of these senses together you can come up with the fifth sense of taste, you can almost taste the water. Indoor water fountains create a tranquil, serene feeling that can overcome anyone around them.
